
Member of the State Board of Elections since October 2005. Mr. Brady is an
attorney with Mayer Brown LLP in Chicago. He previously served
as Acting Commissioner of the Office of Banks and Real Estate and as an aide to
Governor Jim Edgar, advising the Governor on policy related to regulatory and
financial affairs, business and economic development and political affairs. Mr.
Brady also served as the Deputy Campaign Manager in Governor Edgar’s successful
re-election campaign. Before going to work for Governor Edgar, Mr. Brady served
as the Political Director for Americans for School Choice, a not-for-profit
organization founded by U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander to promote charter schools
and vouchers. Mr. Brady earned a B.A. in Communication Arts from the University
of Wisconsin at Madison, a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law
and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Mr. Brady resides in Winnetka with his wife and five children.
