Who Must File Electronically?

If a political committee has $10,000 or more in receipts or expenditures, or has a balance of $10,000 or more at the end of a reporting period, electronic filing of disclosure reports is mandatory.

IDIS Electronic Filing Software

The Board provides electronic filing software free of charge. This software is called IDIS (Illinois Disclosure Information System). It may be downloaded from the Board’s website and is also available on CD-ROM.

Filer Account and Password

Filer Identification Number and Password

Although you may begin entering your committee’s transactions immediately after you install the IDIS software, you will not be able to electronically file your reports until you have obtained a Filer Identification Number and Password from the State Board of Elections.

E-mail Report Notifications

Instead of receiving a paper packet notifying your committee each time a report is due, you may receive your notifications by e-mail. Simply complete and return the attached authorization.
