Introduction to IDIS v3.0

Getting Started with IDIS v3.0 Website
The State Board of Elections is pleased to announce the release of the new web-based IDIS 3.0 electronic filing program. The advantages of this system are many. Committee data will be stored on the Board’s server. Therefore, you can access it from any computer. All you need is internet access. It is secure in that a user name and password, known only to your committee, are necessary to access your data. Some of the advantages are listed below:

  • It is a web-based system whereby you can access data, enter receipts and expenditures, and file reports from any computer that has internet access.
  • More than one person can be entering data at the same time.
  • You will no longer need to worry about losing your data.
  • You will never need to back up your data – the Board does that for you.
  • There will be no more problems with downloading and installing the IDIS program as it will no longer be physically on your computer.
  • You can only access your data if you have your user name and password.
  • You no longer have to worry about accepting updates on your computer and waiting for them to load.

Please take some time to transfer your data now before the busy filing period in October. If you want assistance with this transfer, please contact a member of the Campaign Disclosure staff at 217-782-4141 (Springfield) or 312-814-6440 (Chicago). We will be more than happy to assist you.

Below are detailed instructions, both for transferring data if your committee has already been filing its reports electronically and also if you have a committee that will be filing electronically for the first time. If you have questions, the HELP text is available as are members of the Campaign Disclosure staff.
