Objections to petitions for local referenda are filed with the same officer in which the original petitions are filed. (10 ILCS 5/28-2(a), 28-6, 28-7) EXCEPTION: Proposition to create a political subdivision, referenda held under the provisions of Article IX of the Liquor Control Act, and Section 18-120 of the Property Tax Code.)
